Thomas M. Sturgis, M.D., F.A.C.P. completed his Bachelor of Science from Villanova University in Pennsylvania. He received his MD Degree from Rutgers Medical School in New Jersey in 1986. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and was Chief Resident at Overlook Hospital in New Jersey. After completing his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, he spent four years in academic medicine and was Chief of Gastroenterology at ECU School of Medicine before entering private practice in 1996. He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
