What we do.
As Gastroenterologists, we specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of intestinal, liver and gallbladder disease. This includes irritable bowel syndrome, colon cancer, colitis, acid reflux disease, ulcers, diarrhea and swallowing difficulties.
Office Consultation
Initial consultation and subsequent follow up care is provided in our new office facility. Please bring along any reports, x-rays, and any pertinent records with you for review. Initial consultation usually entails:
- Full History
- Physical Examination, and
- Planning and definitive treatment
Insurance
We accept Medicare and most commercial insurances. Our office will help in filing the necessary insurance information, but your involvement is often helpful and essential. Your insurance may pay all, some, or none of your bill. Any remaining balance, deductible, and copayment are patient's responsibility.
Pre-Certification
If your insurance policy requires pre-certification before any procedure or hospitalization, please notify our office several days prior to your visit or admission, so that pre-certification can be obtained.
Prescriptlons
Prescriptions and refills are issued during regular office hours. No routine prescriptions will be issued at night or on weekends.
Medicare Certification
Atlantic Gastroenterology Endoscopy Center, PA has achieved another milestone. We have recently been awarded Medicare certification by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, a federal program administered by CIGNA Government Services.
This is in addition to our three year re-accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC) that we received several months ago. This dual certification is a reflection of our continued commitment and effort to provide the very best care here in Eastern North Carolina. The compliance with these federal standards implies a higher quality of care for our patients.

We welcome self referrals and accept most Insurance Companies.
Reception Area
Please bring only one person to accompany you during your office visit. This will allow room in our reception area for all patients.

Medical Information will be handled according to the latest privacy policies and procedures as dictated by HlPAA regulations.
Requesting a Doctor
We will do our best to honor your request to see a particular doctor; however, the appointment secretary will suggest the first available doctor who can accept new patients.

A certified state of art facility, designed to provide a full spectrum of outpatient endoscopic services in an efficient and comfortable environment, staffed by Board Certified Gastroenterologists with advanced endoscopic training.
